We have four private campsites, each thoughtfully set up with:

• A private braai area
A communal fire pit is available at the campsite, and guests are welcome to use the shared pool at the main house.
The campsite is serviced by two shared ablution facilities (separate for men and women), each equipped with a shower, toilet, and basin. There is also an outdoor dishwashing station with hot and cold water for your convenience.
It’s not uncommon to see blesbok grazing nearby, adding to the calm, open, and truly South African landscape. Whether you’re here for a quiet weekend, a nature-filled family getaway, or a base to explore the trails, our campsite offers a simple yet comfortable stay in a beautiful setting.

Meiringskloof Nature Park
All camp sites have a braai area, electrical point and access to delicious, fresh tapped fountain water. Some sites have more shade, others more grass. All have beautiful views of the surrounding cliffs. See layout Map & Camp site dimensions below. The camp sites share one large ablution facility (male / female split) with showers, baths, toilets and wash basins. It also has a communal laundry/scullery with a washing machine and basins.

Emden Bass is a charming farmhouse set on a working farm, offering comfortable self-catering accommodation surrounded by the scenic Witteberg, Rooiberg, and Maluti mountain ranges. Farm Valuta is a historic farm est 1905 once home to a school and a train station. Situated mid-way between Ficksburg and Fouriesburg in South Africa's picturesque Eastern Free State, which can be reached in 3 1/2 hours fro Johannesburg, 4 hours from Durban and 2 1/4 hours from Bloemfontein. The beautiful Sandstone house has 3 spacious rooms with a lovely family environment, well appointed kitchen and 2 verandas where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Maluti mountains and true South African home grown hospitality of Petra van der Westhuizen. There is also an adjoining annex that sleeps 2 with a on suite bathroom. The entire farm house can be booked on a BnB or self catering basis. The annex is not suitable for self catering. The Fat Mulberry Guest Farm
All of our apartments are individually decorated with beautiful and unusual furnishings.
The apartments all have WiFi, DStv and their own braai facilities. The rooms are serviced daily.
The Gate House Apartment is our only pet friendly apartment.
The guesthouse can sleep up to 25 guests. The King size beds can be changed to 2 single beds, except the Chameleon Room that has a single bed & the Gate House's wooden room has a queen size bed. Cots and extra beds are available on request.
There are 5 self-catering apartments & the Chameleon Room. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen.
The Chameleon Room has a kettle, microwave and small fridge.
There is plenty of space at the Fat Mulberry for the kids to play.
Fireplaces and electric blankets will keep you warm and cosy in winter.
There is secure parking and the guest house is enclosed by an electric fence. Each apartment has a safe.
Meiringskloof Nature Park
Meiringskloof Nature Park offers self-catering guest accommodation and is located on private property, only 1.7 km from central Fouriesburg. Meiringskloof is surrounded by sandstone cliffs with open caves, thick indigenous bush, and abundant birdlife.
Accommodation at Meiringskloof Nature Park consists of sandstone chalets, and camping facilities.
Guests have access to the communal entertainment area, which offers a swimming pool and braai areas. Guests can enjoy short and longer hiking trails, the nearby caves, the Fouriesburg Water Tunnels, as well as bird watching and spectacular stargazing.
Pumula Guest Farm
Pumula roughly means to rest and the more correct spelling is usually Phumula. Pumula Guest Farm was established about 16 years ago. It is now only a guest farm, the lands are let out. Crops vary between maize and soya beans.

The Rose House
In 2008 approximately two hectares were planted to Shiraz, Pinotage and Pinot Noir grapes. At close to 1700m the vineyard is possibly the highest producing vineyard in the country and a truly cool climate terroir.
The wine is named after the Southern Bald Ibis which is endemic to the montane grasslands of the Eastern Free State Highlands and relatively rare, like our wine.
Heartstone’s Rest
Heartstone's Rest is situated in the centre of Fouriesburg and offers convenient access to the surrounding Free State region. The property consists of 2 self-catering units suitable for families or groups.
Heartstone's Rest Cottage accommodates 3 guests, of which 2 adults and 1 child. It is furnished with a queen-size bed, a bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet, and a fully equipped kitchenette.
Heartstone’s Rest House accommodates 6 adults and is furnished with 2 queen-size beds and 2 single beds. It has 2 bathrooms, of which the first is fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet, and the second with a bath, basin, and toilet. Both units provide linen and towels.
Four Koffie
Four Koffie is a quaint sandstone cottage located in Fouriesburg, that has been lovingly restored and redecorated. The thatched verandah with log pillars is the perfect place for morning coffee or sundowners.
The cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan living area and kitchen. The main and second bedroom each contain a double bed. The main bedroom has a wall heater as well as French doors that lead out onto the garden. The second bedroom and the bathroom each feature a wall heater. The bathroom is fitted with a bath and a shower, a toilet and a washbasin.
